Values

Relationships

Because ultimately business is about people – our customers, suppliers, partners, team and all others we affect – we embrace openness, trust, honesty, integrity and respect. These are critical elements of our success and approach to business.

Excellence

Developing and applying new technologies, providing solutions, manufacturing and delivering quality products that exceed our customers’ expectations better than anyone else, demands excellence in all we do. From our passion for innovative technology to our business processes, from the capabilities of our individuals to the teamwork with our partners, we will strive to be the best and to get better every day. We also understand that excellence in itself is the result of hard work, commitment, leadership and perseverance.

Cost Effectiveness

We understand the value of money and how to use it cost effectively. Money poorly spent means higher prices or lower profits. Investing the right amount at the right time on the right things will ensure we provide maximum value at a highly competitive cost to our customers, while generating the profit to sustain our vision and mission.

Mining’s Contribution to Society

We are proud to be part of the greater Mining Industry and pledge to do what is required to uphold its highest standards. We will work to improve safety, promote health and protect the environment and to conduct business with the highest ethics. We dedicate ourselves to the development of innovative flotation technology and its practical application to solve the ever-changing challenges faced by our customers.

Our people

Kemtec has qualified, experienced metallurgists and technologists who have run milling plants, understand cell flotation technology from both a mechanical and chemical point of view, and can assist in providing hints and ideas to improve recovery through process optimisation.

Dr Kenneth Lee
Dr Kenneth Lee

BEng Chemical, PhD Chemical, M AusIMM

Kenneth Lee is a classically trained Chemical Engineer, completing his PhD in 2005. After graduation he worked as a plant metallurgist at a copper mine in Queensland gaining experiences in crushing, grinding and flotation plants before being approached by Ausmelt for the development of their hydroxamate oxide mineral collector.

During his time at Ausmelt, he was a significant contributor in setting up a new commercial metallurgical testing laboratory based in Gosford. In more recent years Ken has worked domestically and internationally (PNG, Latin America, Canada, South Africa, Congo, Zambia, Indonesia) on complex base metal ore types that include: Copper sulphides, poly metallic sulphides and different oxide minerals.

This experience, both in laboratory and in production is highly valuable when evaluating new reagents from the initial laboratory test work to plant evaluations via statistically valid on-off trials. Ken is accountable for the technical agenda at Kemtec and is instrumental in ensuring all site-based test programs are well supported and successful.

Dr Scott Buckingham
Dr Scott Buckingham

BSc (Hons) Chemistry/Geology, PhD Industrial Chemistry, GCert Safety Leadership, MRACI CCHEM

Scott completed his PhD in the mid 1990’s and has held various technology, improvement, management and safety roles in the mining, transport and chemical sectors. His qualifications in surface chemistry and surface characterisation, together with an undergraduate major in geology, provide a solid base for understanding the importance of non-linear interfacial phenomena in mineral processing. Scott is the Sinoz Group’s COO and is accountable for operations across the group.
